Strengthening partnerships for a healthier agricultural future

One of a major milestone of the Plant Health Regional Convening 2026 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between WAVE Research and the FMAFS, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing plant health across Central and West Africa.

These partnerships reflect a common vision: building stronger scientific collaboration, enhancing regional surveillance and diagnostics, fostering innovation, and supporting coordinated responses to transboundary plant diseases.

By bringing together governments, research institutions and development partners, these agreements lay the foundation for long-term cooperation that will strengthen plant health system and contribute to more secure and sustainable food systems across the region.
